About

So… hi! 👋

I’m Diadema, though depending on who you ask, I might also answer to Di, Dia, Dee, D, or “hey you.” At this point, I respond to all of it. And you guessed it, I'm the human behind Bucket List Her Way.

I’m based in sunny Southern California, but spend a good amount of my time elsewhere -- on planes, walking unfamiliar streets, or lingering somewhere longer than planned because the moment feels right.

My travel story kicked off in 2006 with a month-long solo trip to Phuket, Thailand. First international trip. First time traveling alone. Zero idea what I was doing. And it was something that would shape how I move through the world.

Since then, I’ve explored 51 countries (and counting), learning along the way that how you travel matters just as much as where you go. I save where it makes sense, splurge when it actually adds something, and focus on experiences that make the trip feel worth it. All very subjective and relative!

So if you like collecting experiences, not just photos (and doing it without blowing your life savings), you’ll fit right in here.

What This Blog Is Really About

Bucket List Her Way exists for travelers who want substance behind the scenery. It’s for people who care about how a place feels, not just how it photographs. Those who believe the best experiences often happen beyond the must-see lists, and who value depth over speed.

Here you’ll find:

  • Bucket-list destinations with a local twist

  • Itineraries built around comfort, culture, and value

  • Experiences that go beyond the obvious

  • Meals, drinks, and moments that make a place feel lived-in... not staged

This isn’t travel for the algorithm. It’s travel for curiosity, connection, and collecting memories that last longer than your camera roll.

This is bucket-list travel... done her way.

Glad you’re here, and thanks for coming along!

Sincerely,

Di, collecting miles and memories
